Sunday worship is our fuel and strength to live out our faith in the all-encompassing love of God every day.
Faith is a communal effort. Unlike spirituality, which is a personal thing, our faith is lived out in community with others.
This is not because God doesn’t know and love us individually, but because God’s gift to us is one another. We are companions on the Way of Love that Jesus calls us into through his own life, death and resurrection. When our service on Sunday is ended, our real service to the world begins.
Worship in the Episcopal church is liturgical, that is, it follows the forms found in the Book of Common Prayer, the prayer book of The Episcopal Church. Our services are similar to a service you might experience at a Roman Catholic or Lutheran church.
Unlike some churches, in the Episcopal Church, your marital status, age, denomination, and sexuality do not affect your ability to receive communion.
We worship live – in person and online – Sundays at 10AM. Watch the service online on our Facebook page, where it remains posted for future viewing.
Beginning in the fall, our Wednesday offerings will resume, providing another opportunity to gather and worship.
We meet at 10AM for Lectio DIvina ("DIvine Reading") a centuries-old approach to Bible study. Rather than approaching the text analytically, seeking to arrive at "the meaning" of the text for all times and places, Lectio Divina is a practice of prayerful listening to the text in order to hear where the Spirit may be speaking through the text to our particular situations. The session, held in our Parish House, is about 45 minutes and informal. Sometimes we choose a book to discuss over the course of several weeks instead.
A contemplative Eucharist and Healing service follows at 11AM in the church. All are invited to attend one or both (we meet in-person only).
