ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH (TUCKAHOE), YONKERS, NY

What do Episcopalians believe?

That’s a big question. Episcopalians believer a lot of things, and while we have uniformity of faith and some worship practices, we hold a variety of diverse opinions, beliefs and practices. We approach these differences with grace, rejoicing that what united us is Christ and the sacrament of his body and blood.  Still, we do hold much in common. Here’s a few resources to help answer that fully.

Our catechism can be found here. This is the best place to start. Here's another great summary of what we believe.

The Episcopal Church is headquartered in New York City. Here is a link to that website which has video content, a dictionary of terms and lots of good information.

What is the history of the Episcopal Church? Here’s the best video we’ve found. Thanks to St. Bartholomew’s for making it and sharing with the wider communion.

We often offer adult classes that look at the History of the Episcopal Church, our beliefs, our struggles and our celebrations. Ask the priest or an usher for the next class schedule.
